2015 GMC Terrain – a mid-size crossover with front- or all-wheel drive, built on the GM Theta platform. The world premiere of the model took place at the New York Auto Show in the spring of 2009.

Interestingly, the name Terrain first appeared in the GMC lineup back in 2007, when the company began sales in the Middle East of a rebadged version of the Opel Antara/Chevrolet Captiva. However, a few years later, the real Terrain debuted in the United States, having almost nothing in common with the aforementioned models, except for the platform with McPherson struts in the front and a multi-link suspension in the rear (in the all-wheel drive version, the rear axle is engaged by an electromagnetic clutch). However, it was lengthened, resulting in a wheelbase stretched to 2857 mm and an overall length of 4705 mm. At the same time, the Terrain weighs 1723 kg, which is 82 kg less than the Opel Antara.

As for fuel consumption, the 2015 GMC Terrain with the 182-hp engine and front-wheel drive consumes 9.5 liters of gasoline per 100 km in the combined cycle. The crossover is manufactured at a plant in Ontario, Canada.
