The 2016 GMC Terrain is built on a platform with MacPherson struts at the front and a multi-link suspension at the rear (in the all-wheel drive version, the rear axle is connected by an electromagnetic clutch). The wheelbase of the car is 2857 mm, and its overall length is 4705 mm. At the same time, the Terrain weighs 1723 kg.

The Terrain’s cabin is designed for five passengers. For greater convenience of the rear passengers, the seat can be shifted longitudinally by 200 mm, and to avoid boredom on the road, the basic equipment of the SUV includes a powerful audio system with MP3 support. The driver is assisted by the StabiliTrak stability control system, ABS, and other systems. Safety is ensured in particular by six airbags, including side β€œcurtains” that protect not only the front but also the rear passengers.

All versions of the Terrain, including the top Denali trim, are produced at the GMC plant in Ontario, Canada. The Denali differs from simpler modifications by its radiator grille, 19-inch wheels, interior upholstery, and retuned suspension.
