2022 GMC Canyonis a rear- or all-wheel drive pickup of the “K4” class. Restyling of the second generation of the model. The world premiere of the vehicle took place on January 13, 2020, in Vail (Colorado, USA).

The modernization of the Canyon pickup was decided to follow the path of least resistance: the basic restyled version differs from the previous one only in the design of the grille (a modified pattern in matte black instead of chrome) and the front bumper (vertical fog lights instead of round ones). The same applies to the most expensive Denali version, whose already massive grille now flaunts an even larger size, bigger mesh, and a slightly more intricate trim shape.

More importantly, for the first time for the Canyon model (similar to other GMC vehicles), a more off-road version AT4 is now available. It differs with 31-inch Goodyear Wrangler Duratrac wheels, all-wheel drive with low range and rear differential lock, more advanced suspension and hill descent control. Externally, the AT4 differs from other models with an enlarged black grille and red tow hooks.

As before, the model can be obtained in a two-door Extended Cab version (5495 mm overall length, 1880 mm cargo bed length), a simple four-door Crew Cab (5395 mm and 1567 mm), and an extended four-door Crew Cab (5705 mm and 1880 mm). However, the more expensive AT4 and Denali are offered only in four-door versions. The width of the cargo bed between the arches is 1128 mm, the total width of the bed is 1428 mm. Depending on the version, the Canyon can carry up to 838–941 kg and tow a trailer of almost 3500 kg.
