GMC Yukon 2023 – a rear- or all-wheel drive K3-class SUV. Fifth generation of the model. The premiere of the vehicle took place on January 14, 2020 in Vail, Colorado, USA.

The change of generation brought the Yukon significant technical updates and relatively modest exterior changes. This generation can be recognized by its enlarged grille, stricter three-section headlights with LED daytime running light “brackets,” and a front bumper with vertical fog lights. At the rear, noticeable differences include lights with a modified LED pattern, as well as a tailgate with a large trapezoidal stamping at the license plate mounting area.

The Yukon of this generation has increased in size: its overall length grew by 155 mm (to 5335 mm), and its wheelbase extended by 127 mm (to 3071 mm). One of the main platform changes is the use of an independent multi-link suspension instead of a solid axle. Together with the increase in length, this allowed legroom for third-row passengers to increase by 41%, and trunk volume behind the third row by 66% (now 722 liters).

There are also changes in the powertrain lineup. For the first time since the second generation, a diesel engine is available for the Yukon. This is a 3.0 Duramax inline turbo six producing 281 hp and 623 Nm of torque. The gasoline V8s remain unchanged in output: 360 hp and 519 Nm from the 5.3-liter engine, and 426 hp and 630 Nm from the 6.2-liter. However, they are now equipped with a cylinder deactivation system, which under low loads can shut off from two to six cylinders.
