If the appearance of the 2011 GMC Acadia is not particularly remarkable, the practicality and safety of the crossover are at a high level. The front and rear suspensions of the Acadia are independent, which has a positive effect on both handling and comfort, and in the cabin of the crossover one can find dual-zone climate control, a navigation system, and a high-class audio system. And this is only part of the standard equipment.

Until 2009, under the hood of the Acadia there was a 3.6-liter gasoline engine from General Motors with a V-shaped arrangement of six cylinders. This power unit was developed through the joint efforts of American, German, Australian, and Swedish engineers of the concern. As a result, the engine produced 275 hp, which is quite sufficient even for towing a trailer weighing up to two tons, and after refinement the power was increased to 288 hp. The engine is paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission.
