2019 GMC Acadia – a K3-class SUV with front- or all-wheel drive. The premiere of the second generation of the model took place at the Detroit Auto Show in January 2016.

Having changed generations, the Acadia was transformed beyond recognition. And it is not only about the completely redesigned exterior, which made the car much more attractive, but also about its equipment, construction, chassis, and so on. But let’s start with the visual features. First, the Acadia became more compact – 18 cm shorter, 9 cm narrower, and 10 cm lower. This circumstance led to the fact that the 8-seat version no longer exists. Now the maximum seating capacity for the model is 7 seats.

The second very important change is that the use of high-strength steel parts in the body structure made it possible to reduce the weight of the Acadia by an impressive 317 kg. As a result, the second-generation vehicle weighs 1794 kg in curb condition, which, without any doubt, will have the most positive effect on fuel consumption. This is important because the SUV’s engines are large and powerful.

The GMC Acadia is powered by one of two engines – a 2.5-liter four-cylinder or a 3.6-liter V6 producing 310 hp. Both units work only with a 6-speed automatic transmission.
